2019 State Swim Meet Results

TUPELO, Miss- The St. Patrick men’s swim team finished 4th and the women’s team finished 5th against some very tough competition at the state swim meet in Tupelo this past Saturday. Both men’s and women’s medley relays won bronze to start off the finals session of the meet.

Individuals who won medals at state were:

Natalie Gordon, silver medals, 50 Freestyle and 100 Freestyle
Joseph Agler, bronze medal, 100 Breaststroke.

Tate Bartgis: 200 Freestyle
Reece Catchot: 200 Freestyle
Caston Mestayer: 100 Butterly, 100 Backstroke (PR)
Alex Moore: 200 IM, 100 Butterfly
Sophia Pisciotta: 100 Breaststroke (PR)
Vincent Pisciotta: 50 Freestyle (PR)
Annabelle Tarrant: 200 Freestyle (PR), 100 Breast Stroke
Chase Vivian: 100 Freestyle (PR), 100 Breast Stroke

Women’s 200 Freestyle Relay: Ramona DiNardo, Sabree Puzz, Sophia Valletta, Madalyn Smith (12th place in semis)
Men’s 200 Freestyle Relay: Chase Vivian, Alex Moore, Reece Catchot, Caston Mestayer (10th place in semis)

Women’s 200 Medley Relay: Natalie Gordon, Sophia Pisciotta, Annie Torp, Annabelle Tarrant (third place)
Men’s 200 Medley Relay: Matthew Gordon, Clayton Stoddard, Joseph Agler, Vincent Pisciotta (third place)
Women’s 400 Freestyle Relay: Annie Torp, Annabelle Tarrant, Sophia Pisciotta, Natalie Gordon (fifth place)
Men’s 400 Freestyle Relay: Clayton Stoddard, Vincent Pisciotta, Matthew Gordon, Joseph Agler (fourth place)

Coach McMakin reported, “Irish swimmers worked hard throughout the season, and were able to appreciate the fruits of their efforts at both the South State and State swim meets this fall.”
