“Fishin’ for a Win” pep rally excites students and staff before first home game

This past Friday, students, faculty, and staff gathered in the gym excited for the first pep rally of the year. The theme of this pep rally was “Fishin’ for a Win” and students dressed up accordingly. Everyone in school was excited for the football game against Snook Academy and showed lots of school spirit.

Sydney Biggs and Chelsea Hayes, this year’s emcees, began the pep rally with prayer. After prayer, the dance team, cheerleaders, and band led the school in the fight song and band dance. The junior high cheerleaders, dance team, and high school cheerleaders also performed for the whole school and showed off their talent. After those performances, students played relay games and competed in the spirit contest. The seniors won the spirit contest and received the first spirit stick of the year. Overall, this pep rally was a great start to the school year, and students are excited to cheer on the Fighting Irish football team!
