When St. Patrick students saw Morgan Freeman's promotional video for the 2011 International FIRST Championships held in St. Louis at Edward Jones Dome April 27-30, they didn't know that Freeman had asked to meet "his two Mississippi teams."  Freeman came to FIRST at the request of President Obama. 

Freeman asked to meet our team on Friday but during that time, St. Patrick was in the Dome competing rather than in the pit.  On Saturday it was arranged that he would come between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.   During the wait, a production crew from J.C. Penny, one of our corporate sponsors, came to the pit to videotape an interview with Mrs. Worrel and Mr. Roy Cloud.  The crew was there when Morgan Freeman arrived so they added Mr. Freeman's pit stop to their footage. 

He asked questions about our team and about the robot itself.  Jarred Mitchell did a great job of being team spokesperson!  Freeman's production crew told us they will send us a copy of the footage they shot.
