Annual Alumni Mass and Social Postponed
Each year, to kick off the week of Homecoming, alumni from St. John, Sacred Heart, Notre Dame, Mercy Cross, and St. Patrick join together to celebrate Mass and attend a social. This year’s celebration is postponed due to COVID-19 related concerns and safety precautions.
In an email to members of the Alumni Advisory Committee, Director of Advancement, Patrick Miller shared optimism on the school hosting the event in the spring despite the current need to postpone the event.
“We are currently looking at dates for the spring of 2021,” said Miller.
Alumni Advisory Committee member Joey Beattie shared the committee’s determination to still hold the event in the spring as well.
“The St. Patrick Catholic High School Alumni Advisory Committee wants to assure all alumni the postponement of the Annual Alumni Mass and Social is not a cancellation. This event has evolved into an annual tradition at St. Patrick. St. Patrick, Sacred Heart, Notre Dame, Mercy Cross, and St. John alumni gather each year at the beginning of Homecoming Week to praise God, enjoy fellowship, and share cherished memories. It is a fun way to show our support and appreciation for Catholic education. Efforts are in the works to reschedule the event as soon as possible as it is a priority to show appreciation to the alumni of St. Patrick and all the Legacy Schools.”
“I ask all of you to keep St. Patrick in your prayers. We continue to work hard on your behalf – for your legacy,” added Miller.
