Big Buddies Christmas Party

On Wednesday, December 6, 2017, the Big Buddies Club of the 2017-2018 school year hosted a Christmas party for the Big and Little Buddies.

Big Buddies, is a program at the school where 12th and 11th graders are paired up with a 7th grader in the beginning of the year, to give the 7th graders someone outside of their grade that they know at a new school.  It also allows for the 7th graders to have a mentor at the school and someone to go to easily when they have questions or need something.

The party was held at 7:45 in the cafeteria, due to the weather, it could not be held outside.  There were donuts and drinks served to both the Big and Little buddies.

This gave the 11th and 12th graders time to get to know their 7th grade little buddies better.  It also was a chance to celebrate Christmas a bit before we go on break.

Senior, Chloe Rizk, puts it into perfect words about what the party was like.  “The Christmas party was lots of fun!  I love being able to hang out with my little buddy and get delicious donuts for breakfast. I love being in Big Buddies and influencing the younger students.”
