Big Buddies host Christmas party

On Thursday, December 12, the Big Buddies Club hosted a Christmas party for the seventh grade and their big buddies.

The Big Buddies Club is a club that is run by juniors and seniors that “adopt” seventh grade little buddies and help them out by getting to know them and answer any questions they might have about the school and to just be their friend.

Students and their big buddies gathered in the courtyard to exchange Christmas gifts and play Christmas themed games, such as pin the nose on Rudolph together.  The party also included a table full of treats and goodies for the buddies to enjoy.

When asked about the Big Buddies party, seventh grader Emilee Nolte stated, “It was a very fun experience with my big buddy, I’m glad to have a big buddy at the school to look up to.”

The club’s president, Alexa Carter stated, “Overall the Christmas party was a success and with a lot of hard work came together great and ended up being a great morning filled with lots of fun.  I’m glad that this club has really been a success because one of my favorite things when I was in seventh grade was having a big buddy to look up too, so I’m glad to be able to give this year’s seventh grade class that opportunity as well.”
