Campus Ministers trained to become Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Last week, the Campus Ministry team was trained to become Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion. St. Patrick Catholic High School Chaplain Father Ryan McCoy taught each member the importance and history of this role in mass.
During the training, members practiced distributing the host and different scenarios they could encounter.
Campus Minister Mallory Edwards said, “I am so blessed to have been able to receive the training to administer the Body of Christ during weekly school mass. I am so excited to be able to physically give Jesus to my friends and peers. The training was an experience that I will never forget. I cannot wait for the first mass where I will be able to be an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion.”
Soon, the Campus Ministry team will be able to volunteer and become a part of the weekly school mass.
