Campus Ministry Reveals 2019-20 Theme

Today, the Campus Ministry Team presented their theme for the 2019-20 school year: “Illuminate.” The theme helps to shape the spiritual direction and growth of students throughout the school year by positively reinforcing a message of brightness in our faith.The Campus Ministry Team is comprised of students selected after a vigorous application and interview process and are looked upon to be spiritual leaders in the school.

After an icebreaker involving a student from each of our six classes as well as Ms. Moon, Gabby Patino and Malea Marchioni presented the theme on behalf of the entire campus ministry team.

“God provides us light so we can use it to brighten others with our faith,” said Machioni. She would add, “Even in the darkest places in our dark world, we are supposed to take God’s light and brighten those places.”

Patino reinforced this message by adding, “We all wander to God to find our place in the world and each day we should go to God and get the light to brighten the darkness.”

Before adoration, Ms. Previto shared how a daily prayer she prays coincides with the theme and how we must share the good news of Jesus.

“We have to go out and spread that light. We are a national Blue Ribbon School. What does that mean? That means that nationwide they know St. Patrick. By being on that list we are evangelizing.”

The presentation of the theme was followed by adoration.
