Canned foods being collected during Catholic Schools Week
The theme for Catholic Schools Weeks is: Communities of Faith, Knowledge, and Service. The service component is a canned food challenge for the entire school. Everyone is asked to bring canned goods that will be used to form a cross in the north courtyard. The challenge is to see how big of a cross we can make by Friday. The canned goods will be donated to a local soup kitchen.
We hope that students will donate canned goods even without an incentive of service hours or bonus points. This is an opportunity to truly live out our Christian calling of helping those in need.
