Cross Country Team places 1st at opening meet
The Cross Country season kicked off this past weekend with the opening meet at St. Stanislaus.
Junior High Girls placed 1st as the overall champion. They were led by Top Ten Finisher’s Race Champion Sophia Gregg, Ella Warburton, Victoria Pickens, and Tatum Messer. Yvonne Gunn and Addie Wilson rounded out the scoring for the team.
Varsity Girls placed 1st as the overall champion. They were led Top Ten Finisher’s Race Champion Jayden Ware, Lillieann Bentz, Lily Viglianco, Abby Warburton, Anna Katherine Thriffiley and Diana Pickens. Nora Mestayer completed the scoring for the lady Irish.
Junior High Boys placed 2nd in their division. They were led by Top Ten Finisher’s A.J. Codella, Nathan Pyron, and Cooper Messer. Daniel Williams, Luke Warburton, Luke Dardeau, and Sage Viglianco rounded out the team scoring.
Varsity Boys placed 1st as the overall Champions. They were led by Top Ten Finisher’s Race Champion Jack Hewes, Tristan Davis, Joseph Ross, Luke Meyers, and Fischer Winters. Payton Taylor and David Merrell completed the scoring for the team.
