Dellenger, Thibodeaux named school winners for Heisman High School Scholarship

BILOXI, Miss.- Principal Dr. Matt Buckley is proud to announce that Caroline Dellenger and Greyson Thibodeaux have been named school winners in the Heisman High School Scholarship program. In order to qualify as a school winner in the Heisman High School Scholarship program, students must have a cumulative weighted GPA of 3.0 or better, play at least one sport recognized by the National Federation of State High School Association and be a leader in their community.

“Both Caroline and Greyson are the prime examples of a scholar-athlete,” Principal Dr. Matt Buckley said. “At St. Patrick, we pride ourselves on educating scholars, training disciples and supporting champions. These two students cover all of our pillars and I am proud to see them recognized for this achievement.”

State winner will be announced Friday, November 4. If selected, each student has the opportunity to win a $1,000 scholarship and go on to compete as a national finalist. National finalists will be announced on November 7 and National winner will be announced on November 30.

The Heisman High School Scholarship was created in 1994 through a partnership between Wendys and The Heisman Trophy Trust. The Heisman High School Scholarship program aims at recognizing the nation’s most esteemed high school seniors who are considered scholar-athletes and are leaders in their community.
