Father Cuddy O’Connell celebrates school-wide Mass on November 15
On Thursday, November 15, Mass was celebrated at St. Patrick by Father Cuddy O’Connell. He gave a very memorable and informative homily about not taking advantage of things and being thankful for what we have been given. There was a lot of student participation in this Mass, ranging from being a lector to bringing up the gifts. The Music Ministry, led by Ms. Previto, is also made up of talented students. They perform five different songs every week and always sound great. This Mass was ended, as it always is, with Mr. Buckley giving announcements about things that are happening at school and wishing the students a great Thanksgiving Break. In all, this week’s Mass was very successful and enjoyed by everyone in attendance. The next Mass that will be celebrated will be when students return from Thanksgiving Break.
Rachel Vivian, a Sophomore at St. Patrick, commented, “I enjoyed this Mass very much. I loved how Father Cuddy tied in jokes, which made it more interesting, and related it to how teenagers should be thankful for the many blessings they are given. With Thanksgiving Break coming up, I thought this was great homily to incorporate into the Mass this week.”
