Father Mark from St. Alphonsus celebrates Mass on Thursday, September 20

On Thursday, September 20, Father Mark from St. Alphonsus Parish in Ocean Springs celebrated mass at St. Patrick. Students, staff, and parents gathered to participate in this school-wide mass. Father Mark gave a great homily about Jesus and his Apostles.

Students wore liturgy dress for the occasion. Every Thursday mass is held in the cafeteria at 9:40. Parents are invited to attend mass each week.

The campus ministry team set up and helped throughout the mass. Sophomore, Claire Wingfield, alterserved for this mass. Freshmen read the readings and responsorial psalm. The music was provided by the choir and Mrs. Darlene Previto.

“The priest had a very great message about the gospel and readings that can apply to our lives as teenagers.” – Sarah D’Aquilla

“It is great to gather as a school to celebrate mass so that we can have a better understanding of our faith as a community. At the beginning of the year we all need to get to know one another better so that we can bond as a school.”- Isabell Alexander
