First Students For Life meeting of the year held September 20

On the morning of September 20, the first Students For Life meeting of the year was held. Students For Life is an organization that promotes Pro Life throughout the school, and the organization  takes St. Patrick students to Washington, D.C., for the March For Life each year in January. Mrs. Cloud, a theology teacher at St. Patrick, sponsors and leads the club.

At the meeting, there were many things that were discussed. The month of October is Life Month, and the club does many activities during this month to celebrate. The club has a day that members use chalk to write inspirational things on the sidewalks leading to the school for the students to see every morning and afternoon. Also during this month, the club makes blankets for the babies at the Morning Star Pregnancy Center and they participate in canned food drives. The next meeting is Thursday, October 4, in the morning.

“Students for Life is such a great club to be a part of. It is my favorite part of the year when we go to Washington, D.C. for March For Life. To be able to see hundreds of thousands of people gathered for a cause so great is such an amazing sight. I can’t wait to go back again this year!” – SPCHS Student Gracie Davenport
