On September 15, the Guidance Office is sponsoring two information sessions for parents and students to help prepare our students for college:
1. At 5:30, we are holding a Financial Aid Workshop for Parents of Juniors and Seniors in the Theatre. A representative from Educational Services Foundation (ESF) will provide information about FASFA. Parents and students file with FASFA online in early spring once income taxes have been filed. Once colleges receive the report from FASFA, they then award financial aid and scholarships. Filing for FASFA is critical. A parent of a 2010 graduate will also share her family's experiences.
2. At 6:00, Juniors, Seniors, and their parents are invited to attend a College/Career Night in the Cafeteria. Community representatives will tell students about their various careers, including those in the medical and banking fields. Representatives from several colleges and universities will be present.
