Donate Your Used Cell Phones

Old Cell phone = New Library Books

Thursday, 23 September 2010  Story By: Margaret Evans

Dear Parents,

During the month of October, our school will be participating in a cell phone fundraising drive.  THERE IS NOTHING FOR YOUR TO BUY OR SELL!  We simply ask that you donate  your extra cell phones.  Most households have 5 to 6 used cell phones just sitting in drawers.  Please put these phones to good use.

The funds we receive will be used to benefit the library.  The recycling of phones also helps our environment and fits in with our "go green" goals for our school.

During the month, please send your phones with their batteries to school.  No chargers or accessories, please.   Mrs. Evans in the Library and Mrs. Dapremont in the front office will accept your phones.  Ask your friends, family members, neighbors, and co-workers to donate their used cell phone.  Every phone helps!

Your donation may be tax deductible.  We will issue you a form for you to fill out and to keep for your tax records.   You and your tax preparer will need to determine the value of your donation.

Contact Mrs. Evans in the Library if you have questions!  Help us buy new books!
