
St. Patrick Catholic High School is pleased to announce that sophomore Reagan Hairston has been selected to attend the Mississippi Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) Seminar. A Principal’s Honor Roll student, Reagan is a member of the National Junior Honor Society, the Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society, and the Spanish Honor Society. She is a member of The Interact, Key, Spanish and Science Clubs and is a member of the volleyball team. Nominated by the Principal and selected by the team, Reagan had the honor to serve as a New Orleans Saints Junior Captain in 2010. A volunteer for the American Heart Association, Gulfport Carnival Association, Red Cross Blood Drives, and Reagan was also co-chairperson of St. Patrick’s Salvation Army Angel Tree in 2010-2011.
Reagan, along with others who are selected, will attend the Seminar that will be held June 1-3, 2012 at Millsaps College in Jackson. Participants will have the opportunity to learn how to be better leaders in their schools and communities, and to interact with business, educational, and governmental leaders from across the state.
Michael Azar, the son of Dr. and Mrs. Nabile Azar, has been selected as Alternate. Michael is also a Principal’s Honor Roll student and is a member of Mu Alpha Theta, Student Council, the Film Club, and is a member of the Animation Committee of the award-winning St. Patrick Robotics Team.
