Morgan Hertz received a very nice surprise on Monday, March 12, 2012, when Kimberly Trosclair, Brandi Lyndall, and Katie Pennington showed up in Ms Previto’s second period classroom and presented her with a $1,000 scholarship from Educational Services Foundation (ESF). ESF’s Get 2 College Center not only provides scholarships but also offers help with planning and paying for college including assisting with financial aid paperwork for colleges. 

For this year’s scholarship, ESF held an essay competition. The topic was “If you had one thing in your life you could do over, what would it be and why?” Students submitted a wide range of do-over experiences and Morgan’s essay was selected as a winner. The $1000 will be sent to the school of Morgan’s choice, which is Delta State. Joining her for the surprise were her parents, John and DeeDee Hertz of Biloxi, and Guidance Counselor Liz Wilkinson.
