The Lady Irish won the best 2 of 3 series against the Morton High School Lady Panthers in the 1^st round of the 3A South State playoffs. On Friday night, the Lady Irish traveled to Morton to win the first game 11-0. Sabrina Turner was the winning pitcher only giving up one hit during the game. Jenifer Gary was 3-3 with a Homerun. Other top hitters for the Lady Irish were Sarah Van Schaik, Madison Ulrich, Heather Gillich, and Sabrina Turner.

On Saturday, the Lady Irish continued to get good pitching and hitting as they would complete the sweep with a 13-1 win over the Lady Panthers. Jenifer Gary was the winning pitcher only giving up 2 hits and 1 run. Gary and Becca Hebert both hit home runs for the Lady Irish, other batters with multiple hits during the game included Turner, Van Schaik, and Emma Castanedo.

The Lady Irish will match up against Philadelphia this week for the right to play in the South State Championship series. Game times will be announced later in the week.
