Interact Club hosts Halloween party at Children’s Shelter

This past Saturday, the Interact Club hosted a Halloween party for the children at the Children’s Shelter in Biloxi, MS.  The Interact Club brought pumpkins filled with candy for the children and got to decorate haunted gingerbread houses.  Club member Estelle Seghers said the party was a blast and she really enjoyed being there with the kids.  Members also were able to hang out with the children and play with them for the remainder of their time.

The Interact Club is the official youth division of Rotary International.  The motto of the Interact Club is “service above self.”  The Interact Club’s objectives are to “help young people connect with community leaders, develop leadership skills, make international connections, and discover more opportunities to get involved with Rotary International.”  The Interact Club is involved in many service projects during the year and are a great asset to earn service hours through.  One of the most popular projects the Interact Club participates in is helping with the Crusin’ the Coast event, which has already occurred.

If you would like more information regarding Interact Club and the service projects it works on throughout the year, please contact Ms. Moon or Mrs. Lawson.
