Joseph Rivera hired as Theology Teacher for the 2022-2023 School Year

Principal Dr. Matt Buckley announces today that Joseph Rivera has been hired as a Theology Teacher at St. Patrick Catholic High School for the 2022-2023 school year. He will also lead the St. Patrick Choral Program.

Rivera is from New Orleans, Louisiana and graduated from Archbishop Rummel High School. He went on to attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Shortly into his college career, Rivera felt the Lord calling him to discern priesthood. In prayer and after much spiritual direction, he left discernment and went to work in the mountains in Tiger, GA at Camp Covecrest Catholic Retreat Center. Rivera recently served as the Campus Minister at St. Stanislaus.

“Please join us in welcoming Mr. Rivera to our team as Theology Teacher at St. Patrick for the 2022-2023 school year,” said Dr. Matt Buckley.  “I look forward to witnessing Mr. Rivera’s work in faith formation and assisting our students, faculty, and staff.  We are confident that Mr. Rivera will be an excellent addition to our faculty!”
