JV Boys’ Basketball Team Begins 2017-2018 Season

On Tuesday, November 7, the Saint Patrick Fighting Irish boys’ junior varsity basketball team played their first game of the season against Vancleave. Since their season opener happened to be a home game, the crowd was full of fans cheering for the Irish in hopes of a win. The game was a tough match against the Bulldogs. Each member of the team–including Jordan Bell, Dylan Fontan, Chris Warren, Ray Frazier, Vincent Pisciotta, Bricen Rivers, Dylan Middleton, Presley Harrison and Adam Ritter–pulled his own weight and played to the best of his ability. The boys worked hard and played well against Vancleave, but were unfortunately unable to defeat the Bulldogs. The final score of the game was a loss 40-15, but the team is far from discouraged. They are ready to come back out on top and plan on having a very successful season this year. The boys are confident that this will happen and cannot wait for the rest of the games this season.

The next boys’ junior varsity basketball game is after Thanksgiving break on Tuesday, November 28, at 5:00 p.m. Following this game is the varsity girls’ basketball game at 6:00 and the boys’ varsity game at 7:00. All three teams will be taking on Lamar Christian School at home. This year, we are trying to get the bleachers as full as possible, so please come out to support not only our JV boys but also our varsity boys and girls! We hope you can help us fill our gym with school spirit and sportsmanship. Go Irish!
