Key Club and Interact Club volunteers at “Walk for the Poor” Bridge Walk
The Rotary Interact and Key Club are highly active service clubs that have represented St. Patrick Catholic High School since the opening of the school. This Saturday, September 26, both clubs continued to be a beacon of service for our school at the Walk for the Poor on the Biloxi-Ocean Springs Bridge. Many parishes in the area were present to offer their time for the walk. Key Club and Interact Club sponsors Mrs. Sutherlin and Mrs. Lawson were contacted by the St. Vincent de Paul and were asked to attend the walk with their clubs.
At seven in the morning a number of the members of these clubs attended the walk to donate not only their time, but a total of forty pounds of canned goods and a few cash donations. The St. Vincent de Paul group was highly grateful for all of St. Patrick Catholic High School’s contributions. Key Club sponsor Mrs. Sutherlin was also appreciative of all the students who volunteered their morning for the club. She enjoyed the morning recalling, “The weather was beautiful and a number of people showed up!” She and the club were happy to reflect St. Patrick in such a positive light.
