Key Club makes sandwiches for homeless with Our Lady of Fatima students

Last Thursday, Key Club and National Honor Society (NHS)  went to Our Lady of Fatima to help make sandwiches. The clubs got together with some of the younger students  in Mrs. Grammar’s class to make the sandwiches. Mrs. Grammar is a sixth grade teacher at Our Lady of Fatima Elementary School. St. Patrick students were helping make bags for the homeless as well and had so much fun with the younger kids.

Everybody who helped out with this job made 200 bags for the homeless. The volunteers put toiletry items, snacks, drinks, and more in each bag.

Mrs. Sutherlin, the Key Club sponsor, said, “ Having prayed over these bags, we also prayed for the homeless of our community and gave thanks for our blessings.”

Bags will be distributed at Our Lady of Fatima’s St. Vincent de Paul.
