Lady Irish JV Volleyball team victory over West Harrison

The Lady Irish Junior Varsity Volleyball Team fought a hard game on Tuesday night against West Harrison. Through rigorous summer training and effective teamwork, they pulled out a very satisfying victory. The first set was a close loss with a score of 19-25. The second set was a well-earned win with a score of 25-14. The final set of the match had St. Patrick fans cheering through every volley and resulted in a very close 15-12 win for the Irish.

The entire atmosphere of the match exuded a sense of enthusiasm and anticipation. Near the end of the last set, it appeared that West Harrison may catch up, but the Lady Irish managed to maintain their lead and win the match. The bleachers were packed with a very vocal audience which resulted in interesting commentary. Every ace brought a round of clapping. Every kill brought a shout of joy from the audience. The tone of the whole game steadily grew to phenomenal height until it reached the point where everyone wanted to jump out of their seats and congratulate the players individually. Let us hope that they keep their momentum moving, and that they are victorious in their next match against D’Iberville tonight at 5:30 p.m.
