A 12-run explosion in the fourth inning spurred St. Patrick Lady Irish to a 20-3 win in five innings over Perry Central on Tuesday.
St. Patrick Lady Irish scored in the fourth on a single by Marissa Hanley, an RBI single by Anna D’Aquilla, a sacrifice fly by Morgan McCrea, an RBI single by Raven Blackwell, a three-run home run by Emma Rae Castanedo, an RBI single by D’Aquilla, and a home run by Olivia Allen.
The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to five lead changes in the game.
St. Patrick Lady Irish took the lead in the second inning and held on for the victory. An error scored Anna Grace Castanedo and gave St. Patrick Lady Irish the lead for good.
