Lady Irish volleyball is victorious against D’Iberville
The Lady Irish volleyball team has earned yet another victory! The Irish competed Tuesday, September 1, at home against D’Iberville. Throughout the years, our girls have rivaled to beat D’Iberville. With a back and forth struggle, this victory is even sweeter for the Irish. The team struggled to take the lead in the first game and lost. While many teams might be discouraged by immediate loss, our girls reacted differently. They fought hard to regain standing and reclaim their position in the game. This dedication to success led to three consecutive wins for the Irish, deeming the Irish the victors.
Among all the talented girls that played, some played an integral part in success for the Irish. Varsity Captain Erin Jackson acknowledged, “Blair Doyle and Mary Tubb did exceptionally well and showed remarkable dedication to the game. They played a huge role in coming back for a strong win against the D’Iberville girls. I’m so proud of how all the girls played, though.” This comeback showed off just how well the team works together this year. The girls know how each other play and have coordinated well over the past couple of years. This year in particular is looking promising for the Lady Irish as their talent develops!
The increasing victories for the Lady Irish have led to a growing interest in the team’s games. Crowds are beginning to swell to watch our girls take on one team after another. Our prayers are with the Irish as they take on their next competitors. The next hurdle for the team will be at home on Tuesday, September 8, at 5:30 as the girls take on Pass Christian.
Come out, enjoy an exciting game, and support our Irish!
