Lights Out for Richton Pep Rally

Last Friday, October 6, St. Patrick Catholic School had their fourth pep rally of the year!  Since the theme was “Night Night Rebels,” students came in their favorite pajamas and onesies.  Everyone had an awesome time.  The cheerleaders, dancers, and band had the chance to perform and show their school spirit.  The whole school was able to show their spirit in the spirit competition.  This is everyone’s favorite part of the pep rally because it brings the whole school together to display their school spirit. Each grade had the chance to show their “stuff” by who was the loudest and most enthusiastic.  This pep rally was a lot of fun because of the school spirit, performances, and the game competition.  Students, teachers, and parents were on their feet to support their school and our football team!

To go along with the theme of the pep rally, the game that was chosen was a race pitting each grade against the others.  Each grade chose two people to represent them in the game.  One person had to spin around a baseball bat for a short time then had to drag the other student on a bed sheet from one end of the basketball court to the other.  Once the team went over the finish line, the student who was pulling the other had to eat a donut from a string without touching it.  This pep rally was a great way to get the students and teachers excited to cheer on the football team that night! Go Irish!
