Mini Emeralds dance clinic held Saturday, October 13

The St. Patrick Fighting Irish Emerald Dance Team hosted a camp for young girls in elementary schools on October 13 in the St. Patrick gym from 9 a.m. until noon. Each Mini Emerald received a bow, pom-poms, and a shirt.

When the “Mini Emeralds” got to the gym, they played games and got to know one another and the SPCHS dance team girls. The dance team had green face paint to get the little dancers excited for the fun day ahead.

The SPCHS dance team taught the Mini Emeralds a fun dance that they get to perform with the dance team at the SPCHS football game on Friday, October 19. After learning some of the dance, they got snacks and more face paint. After learning the entire dance, there was a dance party for all the dancers to celebrate learning the dance and for such a fun day. The little dancers always have so much fun at this event, and it is a great opportunity to see what the St. Patrick dance team is like.

“The Mini Emeralds dance camp is such a fun idea and an amazing experience for the little girls that like to dance. It gives the SPCHS dance team an opportunity to meet possible future dance team girls, show our leadership, raise money for the team, and have a fun day. I love helping the Mini Emeralds with dancing and they love this opportunity to dance with the dance team.” – SPCHS Junior and Irish Emerald Abigail O’Connell

Be sure to come watch the Mini Emeralds perform during halftime this Friday, October 19, as the Fighting Irish take on Clarkdale!
