National Honor Society collecting items for retired priests and nuns

On Wednesday, November 28, the National Honor Society (NHS) held its monthly meeting in which they discussed upcoming projects.

President of the club, Ricardo Quintana, said, “The first thing covered in the meeting was to thank everyone who brought in supplies for the November can food drive. Then we went on to discuss what our Christmas project would be, and I told NHS members to start bringing in supplies.”

The Christmas project is to fill gift bags for the retired Sisters of Mercy in Mobile, the retired priests of Fatima, and a few patients at a private home care. All members are required to bring in the following supplies for the gift bags: soft mints, Hershey kisses, small chocolate candy pieces, socks with grips on the bottom, small stuffed animals, puzzles (easy and large print), or word searches (large print). All supplies should be dropped off to room 112 by Monday, December 3.
