National Honor Society collects items for the homeless
National Honor Society (NHS) is a national organization, and its main purpose is service and leadership. This club allows students to get involved in our community and to get service hours. One of the service projects is the homeless drive. Students were asked to bring in items for the homeless drive that will be donated to St. Vincent de Paul. Students were asked to bring in the following: toothbrushes, toothpaste, puzzles, pens, small notebooks, snacks, hard candy, deodorant, and soap. Service projects will continue throughout the year.
Secretary of the club, Stephen Azar said, “ This is a great opportunity for the members to get involved with both the club and their community. I love being a part of the club because it teaches you life skills such as leadership and it allows you to give back to your community.”
Items were due October 2 to room 112. The final count for all bags packed was 150 with some extra.
