Robert Starks selected for National Football Foundation – Mississippi Gulf Coast Chapter Hall of Fame
On Wednesday, January 17, Robert Starks was inducted into The National Football Foundation Hall of Fame – Mississippi Gulf Coast Chapter.
Founded in 1947 with early leadership from General Douglas MacArthur, legendary Army coach Earl “Red” Blaik and immortal journalist Grantland Rice, the National Football Foundation (NFF) & College Hall of Fame is a non-profit educational organization that runs programs designed to use the power of amateur football in developing scholarship, citizenship and athletic achievement in young people.
On the induction, SPCHS Varsity Football Head Coach Jim Bloomfield said, “Robert Starks is a very hard-working young man. I am proud to be able to coach such a tough and skilled player. A true competitor is measured by the size of their heart, not the size of their body. [It was] truly an honor to coach Robert.”
Congratulations Robert!
