Senior Makayla Pfarrer signs National Letter of Intent to play soccer for Millsaps College
On Friday, March 2, St. Patrick Catholic High School Senior Makayla Pfarrer signed a National Letter of Intent to play soccer at Millsaps College.
Pfarrer is the daughter of Sean and Jean Pfarrer and is a native of Biloxi, Miss. She has been a member of the Lady Irish Varsity Soccer Team since she was in seventh grade. On signing, she said, “I’m excited to be able to learn from the team at Millsaps College and grow in both leadership and technical skills.”
On what Pfarrer will miss most about playing soccer at SPCHS, she said, “We are so connected at St. Patrick, and nothing will beat the relationships we’ve formed on our team.”
SPCHS Varsity Girls Soccer Head Coach Zach Villarrubia said, “Makayla was a vital influence to us this year on the field. To me, what stands out most about Makayla is her quality as a leader. She has an infectious personality that makes everyone around her better, both on and off the soccer field. As she carries that into the future at Millsaps, I think she will be successful at whatever she wants to do.”
