Seniors attend first luncheon of the year

Last week, the senior class had their first luncheon of the year. The theme of this month was tailgating, since it was the beginning of football season. The senior parents brought lots of yummy food and decorations for the class to enjoy.  There was excitement in the cafeteria as the seniors gathered to make memories that they would remember forever.

Chelsea Hayes said, “I thought the senior luncheon was amazing! I can remember from when I was in seventh grade just wanting to be a senior because of the monthly luncheons. To me, this brings the senior parents and class closer together and I cannot wait for the next one.”

Class President Payton Dedeaux said, “I love senior luncheons because it mixes up our everyday schedule we are used to.  We have always watched the other seniors get a special meal and wished that was us, and now it is. It’s a bittersweet moment.”

Overall, this event was a great start to the new school year and the senior class cannot wait for the rest of the year. Thank you to all the parents who made the first senior lunch great!
