Shamrockin’ The Coast 2020 Canceled – Date for 2021 Announced

St. Patrick Catholic High School has canceled the 2020 Shamrockin’ The Coast party and fundraiser that had been rescheduled for August 22, 2020. Due to the restrictions put in place to stem the pandemic of COVID-19, school leaders decided it was in the best interest to schedule the 14th annual event for March 27, 2021, at the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino.

“We remain grateful to our many donors and supporters who attend and support Shamrockin’ the Coast each year – it always proves to be a fantastic, successful event. Due to current restrictions in place, we’ve decided not to hold the event this August; instead, we will put all efforts into planning for the March 27th date. We look forward to making the 2021 Shamrockin’ the Coast the most successful event to date! We thank the Beau Rivage for their assistance and support, and thank everyone who had planned to attend the event and appreciate the support in rescheduling it,” said Principal Dr. Matt Buckley.

The annual event is the largest fundraiser for the school and provides much-needed funding for various school projects that include transportation, technology, and needs-based tuition assistance. Continuing the more than 100 years of Catholic education in Harrison County is paramount to the school’s mission of “Educating Scholars, Training Disciples, and Supporting Champions.”

Director of Advancement, Patrick Miller, wants to assure that those who have generously purchased sponsorship, table reservations, or tickets for the now rescheduled August 22nd date will have those carried over to the new date of March 27, 2021. Everyone who has purchased tickets or table sponsorships will automatically receive updated tickets or table sponsorships for March 27th.

“We are grateful for our sponsors, benefactors, parents, and alumni for their continued support of Catholic education at St. Patrick. We will honor their support and carryover all current tickets and sponsorships to the event in 2021. We are looking forward to seeing all of you there and having the best Shamrockin’ the Coast yet,” said St. Patrick Director of Advancement, Patrick Miller ’08.

St. Patrick looks forward to providing an evening filled with delicious food and drinks, live music, enticing auction items, and fantastic fellowship on March 27th.
