SPCHS Alumni Association hosts Class Champions Social
The St. Patrick Catholic High School Alumni Association is getting off to a fast start. They have appointed a leader from each class of graduates of St. Patrick and each of its predecessor schools (St. John High School, Mercy Cross High School, Sacred Heart High School, and Notre Dame High School). This group of leaders is referred to as the “Class Champions.”
On Thursday, August 16, the Association held its Class Champions Social. During the social, the Class Champions discussed numerous upcoming events, fundraisers, and ways to improve the school. Each Class Champion is charged with recruiting graduates from his or her class.
The Association acts “on behalf of all alumni to support and maintain the greatness of St. Patrick and traditional Catholic education.” The Association hopes to increase tuition assistance, and one program it has started to provide assistance is Dollars for Scholars. Students participating in Dollars for Scholars have the opportunity to win a $250 tuition credit during halftime of each home varsity football game. The Association will host its Alumni Mass and Social on Saturday, September 8, and will also be hosting a Homecoming Tailgate on Friday, September 14. The Association also has plans to host another event in the spring semester!
We all have one thing in common…our faith. The alumni of all the former schools are organizing and aligning to make St. Patrick Catholic High School stronger than ever! – Victoria Salloum Chambers, St. John Class of 1983 Graduate
