SPCHS Alumni Mass and Social kicks off Homecoming Week 2018

To start off Homecoming Week, the St. Patrick Catholic High School Alumni Association hosted an alumni mass and social on campus. There were alumni in attendance from St. Patrick Catholic High School, Mercy Cross High School, St. John High School, Sacred Heart High School, and Notre Dame High School.

The Alumni Mass was celebrated by Father Dominic Pham from Sacred Heart Parish in D’Iberville. Alumni brought up memorabilia from their schools during mass. It was a great opportunity for classmates to reunite and celebrate mass like they had done in high school.

The alumni social was held in the gym after mass. Old friends were reunited to catch up and reminisce about high school. Decorations included memorabilia from the schools that reminded the alumni of their high school days. There was a nostalgic slideshow of the high schools presented at the social. Childcare was provided by the Student Council, and of course there was plenty college football for the alumni to enjoy while visiting.

The Alumni Association was founded in 2016 and is dedicated to showing the importance of Catholic education. The Association’s Mission statement reads: “The Alumni Association supports the school’s mission of faith, learning, and more meaningful, lifelong relationships with the global St. Patrick family – alumni, parents, and fans.”

“It is important to preserve the rich legacies of the past and to build and sustain this rich Catholic education. It’s 143 years old and we can make it thrive for a future generations.” – Alumni Association President, Marshall Eleuterius on the importance of the Association Catholic Education
