SPCHS Sailing Team places second in Mississippi High School State Championships

Last weekend, the St. Patrick Catholic High School Sailing Team placed second in state! The Team has dedicated months to practicing, and the results were worth it. The championship was held at the Gulfport Yacht Club. The average temperature for the weekend was around 50 degrees, and the sailors persevered to the finish.

Sailing Team Captains, Mallory Edwards and Teal Salloum, explain, “The St. Patrick Sailing Team has been a big part of our lives since seventh grade. Our team performed to the best of its ability this weekend and we could not be more proud! We placed second this time, however, we have a chance at placing first at team racing state champs in the spring. We are excited to see what the upcoming season holds!”
