SPCHS Student Council hosts Welcome to St. Patrick Week
This week, Student Council hosted Welcome to St. Patrick Week with many exciting events and opportunities. Student Council members worked hard to make this a great week for everyone.
Student Body President Jamie Stanovich said, “Welcome to St. Patrick Week is a great opportunity for new students to learn about all choices and opportunities our school has to offer.”
Tuesday, Student Council provided lunch for the teachers. The teachers were given a well-deserved meal from Newk’s Eatery. All of the teachers loved their lunch from the Student Council.
On Wednesday night, parents gathered at St. Patrick for Meet the Teacher Night. Parents were given the opportunity to meet their children’s teachers and tour the school and see the classrooms. This event gave parents an idea of what their children’s classes will be like in the upcoming school year.
Thursday during lunch, Student Council had a Club Showcase for students interested in co-curricular activities. Posters were set up in the cafeteria during lunch to inform new students about the wide range of clubs that St. Patrick offers, from honor societies to community service groups. Students were given the opportunity to sign up and learn more about all of the clubs at this showcase.
The Student Council and Mrs. Buckley are responsible for planning most of the activities and events for the school. They work so hard to make St. Patrick a better school and they are part of what makes St. Patrick great. Welcome to St. Patrick Week was a huge success from the Student Council.
