SPCHS Teacher Amber Buckley named state nominee for the Warren E. Shull Adviser of the Year Award
Congratulations to SPCHS Teacher and Student Council Sponsor Amber Buckley for being named the State of Mississippi high school nominee for the Warren E. Shull Adviser of the Year Award. Sponsored by the National Student Council, the Shull award recognizes outstanding advisers for their dedication to the leadership development of our nation’s youth and the many positive contributions they make with their student councils.
Each year, the Warren E. Shull Award is presented to a middle level and high school student council adviser who demonstrates exemplary character, leadership, and commitment to young people and their development as student leaders.
The adult members of the NASSP Student Leadership Advisory Committee have the monumental challenge of judging applications and selecting the Warren E. Shull Region Finalists and National Winners. Region finalists are notified of their selections in February, and the national winners will be announced at the NatStuCo National Conference in June.
Region finalists and the two national winners will be presented with specially designed plaques during a general session at the conference. Additionally, each national winner receives a $500 cash award.
