St. Patrick and Singing River Health Systems Partner to Battle Coronavirus
BILOXI, Miss – St. Patrick Catholic High School is partnering with Singing River Health System in the fight to stem COVID-19. The Health System will offer access to quick screening for students, teachers, faculty, staff, and administration that has COVID-19 like symptoms.
St. Patrick continues to lead the way in preventative steps to limit the possible spread of the virus through its SP-SHIELD plan, and adding Singing River Health System as a partner in this fight is crucial to the plan.
“We are thrilled about this exciting new partnership with Singing River Health System. The health and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff remain a top priority, and we greatly appreciate the guidance and resources. We look forward to partnering with Singing River both now and long after the end of COVID-19,” said St. Patrick Principal, Dr. Matt Buckley.
Singing River Health Systems has set up a website with specialized COVID-19 guidance that includes topics such as social distancing and face mask guidance. St. Patrick will continue to share ways you can help keep our community safe.
“Singing River Health System is providing guidance and clinical resources to local school districts to help our educational leaders create policies that will support and protect the health of both children and adults as they prepare to return to school and throughout the year,” said Melissa Schnoor, Community Health Manager with Singing River Health System.
“As schools resume across our area we are actively monitoring activity in each of our school districts and offering support to our educators who are working very hard to safely reopen. It is important to keep in mind that our understanding of COVID-19 and its impacts are changing rapidly and these recommendations are in line with our most recent understanding of the pandemic and its effects and causes,” Schnoor added.
