St. Patrick Hires Advancement Specialist
St. Patrick announced today that Breylyn Henry has been hired as our new Advancement Specialist. Henry will assist the Director of Advancement, Patrick Miller.
For the past seven years, Henry has served high school students beginning their journey into higher education. Most recently, Henry held the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admission title at Loyola University of New Orleans. In this role, she was responsible for managing her assigned recruitment territory and overseeing the distribution of merit award monies. Before her time at Loyola, Henry served her alma mater, Louisiana State University, as a Regional Admissions Counselor, where she managed over 3,000 undergraduate applications each year.
“We are excited to add this new position to the Office of Advancement as it shows our continued institutional growth. With Breylyn’s experience in Catholic higher education, she is an immediate asset to the school’s meaningful involvement of people, the mission of training intentional disciples, and vision for the future,” said Miller
In December of 2008, Breylyn graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a concentration in Art Education from Louisiana State University. While at LSU, Breylyn served the campus community by serving as the youngest Panhellenic President in the school’s history and was an active member of her sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta.
“On behalf of the administration, faculty, and staff, I am proud to welcome Breylyn Henry to our Fighting Irish family. Ms. Henry joins the team at St. Patrick as Advancement Specialist, and I am confident that she will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our Advancement Department,” said Principal Dr. Matt Buckley.
Breylyn enjoys spending time with her family, giving back to her community through acts of service, and is a riding member in the Krewe of Iris and Krewe of Cleopatra in New Orleans, Louisiana.
