Student Council plans for Open House and other upcoming events

On Thursday, October 25, Student Council held its bi-weekly meeting in Mrs. Buckley’s room. All of the upcoming events in November and December were discussed, as well as projects for after Christmas. The next task for Student Council is to lead tours and help with the Open House for St. Patrick on November 11 from 2-5 p.m. After that, Student Council has taken on the responsibility of doing “Secret Santa” with the teachers at the school. This entails the students giving small gifts to a teacher of their choice for a whole week, and at the end of the week, revealing themselves to the teachers. It is a fun event that all of the parties involved enjoy. The next meeting will be on Thursday, November 8.

Junior Teal Salloum, student council member, stated, “This was a productive meeting where we discussed numerous upcoming service projects and events that our student council is hosting. My favorite part about being a part of student council is being able to help with and put on so many events. One of our annual service projects, the Red Kettle, will begin soon. I always enjoy giving my time to help those in need.”
