Students attend annual homecoming blackout pep rally
On Wednesday, September 12, the student body attended the annual homecoming blackout pep rally. The blackout pep rally is a tradition that has become a staple of Homecoming Week at St. Patrick. Students wear colorful lights and glow sticks to the event held after the powderpuff football game.
Once students are in the gym, the lights are turned out and the scene becomes a colorful light show where the dance team, cheer team, and band perform with decorated uniforms. The blackout pep rally is one of the many testaments to the sense of spirit and community that our school has.
“I loved seeing all the school spirit displayed. It was good to come together after the powderpuff game and celebrate our school,” said Julia Hanson
