Students attend College and Career Fair on Tuesday, October 9

On Tuesday, October 9, students attended the annual college and career fair held at St. Patrick. The event allows students to speak to recruiters from many different colleges as well as many businesses on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

This event  is a great way for students to learn more about colleges and potential career paths for their future.

SPCHS Guidance Counselor Ms. Wilkinson said, “I was extremely pleased with our college and career fair this year. We had universities and colleges not only from Mississippi but also from Louisiana and Alabama. We also had many professions represented including our courageous policemen, firemen, and military personnel.”

Isabell Alexander, a senior, said, “Seeing all the college representatives and career possibilities made me excited for the future. I learned a lot from speaking with various professionals and really appreciated them coming to share with us what they love.”

Students from all grades are able to attend the fair, in the hopes that it will spark a new interest or that it will allow students of all ages to consider the many choices available to them.
