Students enjoy movie day to celebrate Catholic Schools Week

This past Friday, students, faculty, and staff concluded the celebration of Catholic Schools Week with a special treat from the administration. Throughout the day, classes gathered in the auditorium to watch a movie and enjoy popcorn with their friends.

As students made their way to their seats, they were handed a bag of popcorn and drink to enjoy during the movie, Hidden Figures. Richard Springer said, “I thought it was awesome to end Catholic Schools Week with a movie. Hidden Figures was great–it taught a great lesson about perseverance and dedication, and I really enjoyed it. It was nice of Mr. Buckley and the administration to treat us to a movie and popcorn.”

Overall, the students loved the movie day and all the events that made Catholic Schools week great. Sarah D’Aquilla said “Everything the school did for us this week was so amazing. From the campus ministry skit to the movie day, each activity gave us a chance to grow closer to God, my classmates, and my teachers.”
