Students for Life prepares for March for Life

On Wednesday, January 9, an informational meeting was held in the auditorium to inform participants and their parents about the trip to Washington D.C. for the March for Life. Mrs. Cloud will be one of the chaperones on the trip. Mrs. Cloud shared the itinerary for the trip as well as extra information about the March for Life. Some students that had participated in March for Life in previous years shared their experiences and their favorite parts of the trip. Mrs. Cloud answered parent’s general questions about the trip. The meeting concluded in a prayer for a safe trip and an end to abortion.

The annual March for Life will take place in Washington D.C. on January 18. Each year, members of the Students for Life at St. Patrick go to the event to march to end abortion.

The March for Life’s vision is, “A world where the beauty and dignity of every human life are valued and protected.” The March for Life began as a peaceful demonstration and has turned into the largest pro-life movement in the world.

The students march on the National Mall. The trip to D.C. consists of rallies, sightseeing, and listening to pro-life speakers. Many students are very excited to go on this trip to speak for the unborn. The students will embark on their trip on January 16 at 5 p.m.
