Student’s remember Veterans during holiday season
The St. Patrick High School Interact Club found a unique way to give back this holiday season. Student’s participated in the 7th Annual Laying of the Wreaths at the Biloxi National Cemetery. The students joined hundreds of others in laying 20,000 wreaths on the graves of those who fought for our freedom. This is the first year enough wreaths were donated to cover every grave in the cemetery. Those who participated were also able to earn service hours towards graduation.
Biloxi National Cemetery was established in 1934 and its first burial was held on March 24, 1934. A total of 20,000 graves covers more than 50 acres.
