The addition of Chromebooks creates an enhanced classroom experience

Classes this year at St. Patrick are much different than they have been in years past with the addition of Chromebooks for students in grades 9-12. With a new learning software, Canvas, students can now take notes, tests, and quizzes on a school-issued laptop instead of with paper and pen. This new technology has allowed for teachers to grade assignments within seconds of completion and has also made note-taking more convenient for students.

On using the Chromebooks for teaching, Mrs. Sutherlin said, “There are still tools that have yet to be discovered, but so far they have been wonderful for things such as grading.”

“At one click of a button, I can access all the assignments and work I have to do throughout the day. I am very impressed by the convenience of the Chromebooks,” said St. Patrick Catholic High School Senior Parker Frame.

It goes without saying that the new Chromebooks are helping students make the most of their time both in and out of the classroom.
