The Foundation of St. Patrick Donates $500,000

BILOXI, Miss.- Mission-driven supporters of Catholic education, The Foundation of St. Patrick establishes a $500,000 Trust with the Catholic Foundation of Biloxi. The organization supports St. Patrick Catholic High School’s mission of educating scholars, training disciples, and supporting champions.

“We are deeply grateful for this gift from The Foundation of St. Patrick, their 49 donors, and the many hours of time and talent dedicated to the advancement of Fighting Irish faculty, staff, and students,” Director of Advancement Patrick Miller ‘08 said. “These alumni, parents, former parents, and friends have been the cornerstone of St. Patrick’s strategic growth and the more than 50% increase in enrollment since their inception in 2016.”

In 2016, the board of directors set out to provide the resources to lead and teach as Jesus did – to make disciples of Christ at St. Patrick. During that time, the organization contributed $242,300 directly to the school to provide bus transportation, tuition assistance, and teachers’ pay. Now a Trust within the Catholic Foundation of Biloxi, The Foundation of St. Patrick will serve as a major gifts program that ensures the legacy of St. Patrick lasts forever on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

“This check represents the perpetual contributions collected since the inception of The Foundation of St. Patrick,” The Foundation of St. Patrick President Vincent Pisciotta said. “Thank you to everyone who has contributed and shares our belief that we need a future with strong Catholics to lead our parishes and every industry in our world.”

Alums, parents, and friends who wish to ensure opportunities for future generations of Fighting Irish students can contribute to the Foundation of St. Patrick’s Trust by contacting Director of Admissions and Strategic Communications Emily Aldrich at ealdrich@stpatrickhighschool.net or by calling (228) 702-0500.
